Cookies & Tracking Policy

Nitta Quiz uses browser cookies on nittaquiz.com and device storage and software development kits in the mobile app. This policy describes those technologies and the controls available to you. Read it with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. Cookies and device storage

A cookie is a small value that a website stores in your browser. Cookies can remember a language choice or distinguish visits for analytics. Browser local storage and app storage can keep information between visits or app launches.

Mobile software development kits, or SDKs, can also store information and process device or app identifiers. These technologies can operate without browser cookies.

2. Technologies on the website

The website uses a language cookie. Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics load only after you accept analytics. Use Cookie settings on the Cookies page to accept or reject analytics later. Rejection stops future analytics collection and clears accessible Google Analytics cookies. Previously collected data is not erased by this choice.

Vercel Web Analytics	Produces website traffic statistics using information from page requests.	Vercel states that its request-derived visitor identifier is discarded after 24 hours. This is not a browser cookie expiration.

Google Analytics can process page visits, interactions, referrers, and browser and device information. Its cookies can link visits in the same browser. Google explains these technologies in its cookie documentation and Privacy Policy.

Vercel Web Analytics uses a request-derived identifier instead of an analytics cookie. Its metrics can include page URLs, referrers, approximate location, browser, and device information. See Vercel's Web Analytics privacy information. The website also uses Google Analytics, so Vercel's cookie-free design does not describe all analytics on the website.

Your analytics choice is stored in browser local storage as nitta-analytics-consent-v1 until you change it or clear site data. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. Account-deletion status pages do not load analytics.

The website's account-deletion sign-in flow holds its authentication session in memory. It does not persist that session in an authentication cookie or browser local storage.

3. Storage and SDKs in the mobile app

The app uses these technologies:

• Account sessions. Supabase Auth stores session information in app storage to keep you signed in.
• App state. Local storage holds information such as quiz settings, pending games or invitations, reward cooldowns, and review-prompt state. Some preferences, including sound and vibration settings, are saved with your account.
• Crash reporting. Sentry receives errors and diagnostic context, including app and device information, to help us investigate failures. The app disables Sentry's default personal-information collection setting. Error reports can still contain technical context from the action that failed.
• Push notifications. The app stores a push token on your device and with the notification service to deliver notifications you enable. Notification preferences are available in Settings → Notifications.
• Advertising. Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform, or UMP, process advertising and consent information. This can include consent choices, IP address, device and app information, SDK identifiers, and advertising identifiers where permitted.

Apple or Google sign-in may open provider-controlled screens or browser pages. Those providers use their own storage and privacy controls, as described in their policies.

4. Advertising choices in the app

The app displays AdMob banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. It checks UMP's permission to request ads before loading them. UMP privacy messages depend on your region and the messages configured for the app.

When UMP makes privacy options available, open Settings → Ad preferences to review or change your choices. That row appears when UMP requires a privacy-options entry point. Changing your choices can limit advertising or make ads unavailable. Declining or withdrawing consent does not guarantee that an ad will be available in a different form.

On iOS, App Tracking Transparency, or ATT, separately controls permission to track across other companies' apps and websites and to access Apple's advertising identifier, the IDFA. If you decline ATT, the ad SDK cannot access the IDFA. Ads and associated processing that do not require that permission can still occur. ATT permission alone does not replace other required consent.

You can change ATT permission in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android provides advertising privacy controls in device or Google settings; names and options vary by Android version. Google describes additional choices in its advertising privacy information.

5. Browser controls

Your browser can block or delete cookies and other site data. Deleting cookies can reset stored choices, and blocking scripts can prevent analytics from loading or affect website features.

Google provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported desktop browsers. Browser controls apply to that browser and do not change advertising preferences inside the mobile app.

6. Age eligibility

The app requires users to confirm that they are at least 13 and meet the minimum age required in their country. This is a user confirmation, not a check of a birth date or identity document. The app is not intended for users below that minimum age. Contact privacy@nittaquiz.com if you believe an ineligible child has an account.
